No. Many members come with no workshop experience at all. You can simply chat over coffee, or learn new skills at your own pace. Experienced members are happy to share their knowledge.

We meet socially twice a week:
Tuesdays:
9:30 to 11:30 am at the Unity Clubhouse, Canadian Mental Health Association, #103 – 1873 Main St., Penticton.

Check our Events page or contact us for the latest details.

We keep membership affordable. Annual membership is $24.

We build, repair, and restore items that benefit the local community – everything from furniture and garden projects to helping local organizations. Members suggest and vote on projects, so there’s always something interesting happening.

Not at all. We welcome men of all ages who want friendship, purpose, and meaningful activity. Younger members often bring fresh ideas and energy to the group.

By giving men a regular place to connect “shoulder to shoulder” while doing things they enjoy. Many members say the friendships and sense of purpose have made a big difference in their wellbeing.

Absolutely! We encourage first-time visitors to drop in for a coffee and a chat. No commitment is required – come as often as you like until you feel comfortable.

The Shed is primarily a space for men, but women are welcome to join certain community events, volunteer, or support us as friends of the Shed.

Great question! You can become a member, volunteer your time or skills, donate tools/materials, or help spread the word. Businesses and organizations can also sponsor projects or events. Contact us to discuss options.
