The past year has provided many grim reminders of the kinds of emergencies and disasters that can affect our British Columbia communities, and with devastating results.

But we have also seen extraordinary resourcefulness and resilience, and examples of community-based seniors services (CBSS) throughout the province responding effectively to meet the needs of older adults at local levels in emergency situations.

Join us for this province-wide consultation to learn about effective resources, strategies, and programs that are making a difference in emergency preparedness, response, and recovery for older British Columbians, as well as to discuss challenges and gaps that need to be addressed.

This interactive session will be designed to share experiences, gather ideas and resources, and identify effective strategies and priorities for emergency management in the CBSS sector. Participants are encouraged to review the September 2021 Closing the Gaps webinar and the Closing the Gaps Report.
