MSABC Board Meeting Minutes.

Wednesday June 19^th, 2024.  10 am                                Meeting 6- 2024.

Present- Jan Fennema, Cliff Irving, Varouj Gumuchian, Randall MacKinnon, Richard Simonson, Mike Jennings (note taker), Chris Staddon.

Regrets from Ron Embree and Robert Goluch.

1. There was just one item on the agenda- Suggested expenditures to support development and operating costs for new Men’s Sheds. $60,000 and to support the BC Men’s Shed network. $20,000 per United Way grant.
2. The minutes of meeting 5-2024 were tabled until meeting 7-2024.
3. The suggestions are as follows-
   1. Startup grants if they are not available from MSC.
   2. Investigate the possibility of subsidizing or covering the cost of liability and D&O insurance for all Sheds that need it.
   3. Safety Supply grants including AEDs.
   4. Funding for the up-grading of the MSABC website.
   5. Continue the Outreach Program if funding not available from MSC.
   6. To support regional gatherings.
   7. Provincial conference.
   8. A universal and equal grant for all BC Sheds.
   1. Promotional materials such as banners, business cards, brochures, T shirts, hats, etc.
   10. Funding to attend the United Way Healthy Ageing Summit.
   11. Executive travel.
